Cimarron Ridge, which was developed by Geoffrey H. Edmunds, a Toll Brothers Inc. company is comprised of 3 separate and distinct communities; The Villas, The Enclave and The Vistas which contain a total of 210 homes, all of which are single level and are grouped in sections according to price and size.

In The Villas, there were 67 home sites and six different models to choose from however, the Santiago floor plan was eliminated early on and replaced with the Cantabria at a later date. In September of 2000, which is the date of the earliest information that I have available, prices began at $340,975 for the 2,310 square foot La Jolla model and went as high as $370,975 for the 2,651 square foot Sevilla model.

In The Enclave, a community of 78 homes, there were five different models offered. In July of 2000, prices began at $378,975 for the 2,659 square foot Frontera model and went as high as $422,975 for the largest model, the San Rafael with 3,393 square feet.

The Vistas offered 65 homes all of which were located on the same street, Caribbean Lane. There were six different models to choose from ranging in size from 3,035 square feet for the Palma model to 3,744 square feet for the Montilla model. My earliest price list dates from April of 2000 when prices started at $421,975 and went as high as $462,975.

This community is located just east of Cimarron Hills, it’s “sister” community and offers the same floor plans. It is bordered to the north by the mountain preserve and sits west of a community called Sunrise Point, built by Engle Homes. It is easily accessible to the private community center which was built in 2002 and offers tennis courts, a negative edge pool, a spa and fitness facilities.

About the Builder

The original builder of Cimarron Ridge, Geoffrey H. Edmunds & Associates, has actually been the Arizona subsidiary of nationally known Toll Brothers since 1995 and, finally, in 2002, the Edmunds name was formally jettisoned and the company is now known exclusively as Toll Brothers.

However, Edmunds was actually started by its namesake. Geoffrey was a Colorado native who graduated from ASU in 1963 and subsequently went to work for the Del Webb Corporation as well as several other local builders. Then in 1971, with $10,000 in start up capital and 10 employees (half of whom were family members), he set out to build something for himself. Thirty years later, Edmunds became one of the most recognized and respected nameplates in the Valley.

The company received hundreds of awards for excellence including the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona’s MAME Grand Award, presented to the home builder who best excels at new product design, interior design and creating new home communities. The Geoffrey H. Edmunds Company was also named both Home Builder of the Year and Custom Home Builder of the Year.

The new parent company, Toll Brothers, has an equally prestigious record. It has won the three most coveted awards in the homebuilding industry: America’s Best Builder, National Builder of the Year, and the National Housing Quality Award.
